What a fast and furious 2 weeks it has been. Thank goodness my mom was in town to help me pack up my house and clean it. Jim was unable to be at home due to work, so mom and I hit the boxes and got it done. I didn't think it was going to ever happen, I didn't sleep the night before the truck came and at 5am I decided to get up and continue the packing, sorting, separating, throwing away, cleaning, driving kids to and from their last day of school, etc. I think I threw breakfast and lunch in there, too.

The movers were over 2 hours late and within a half an hour of being there I nicknamed the driver "drama queen". What a whiner! He whinned about everything, including moving the piano. Hello! It was listed on the bid, he knew it was there. And I am pretty sure moving is his job and I was paying him to do it. He spent most of the time on the phone complaining to someone. And to top it off, he broke one of the tiles on the stairs in the entryway and tried to tell me that it was already there and he just knocked the broken piece off. What a baby! Say your sorry, pay your dues and get on with life! Anyway, the day finally ended around 10:30pm when Mom and the kids and I and the dog headed to St. George to spend the night in a hotel. I had been waiting for a hair appointment for 3 weeks and I wasn't going to cancel it now. So, with hair done and car packed, we headed up the road Thursday afternoon. We arrived at our new address and unloaded the car. We let Maggie in the house to check it out and she was kind enough mark her territory on the carpet. And to top that off I had contracted a severe head cold that has left me stuggling to breathe. Have I complained enough? I am now at my Mom and Dad's house in Idaho trying to recover from the horrible past 2 days and my cold. We close on our house on Monday so we will head back to Utah Sunday night. There will be peace in my life soon, I can just feel it. I hope, anyway.
