The History of Utah Program

The 4th grade classes put on a Utah history program for their end of the year production. Thanks to Grandma Hale, Kendrie was all pioneered out with her calico blue dress and braids. They started with the beginning of time with a hot little dinosaur number...rock on dinos!By the time we got to the pioneers settling the area, we were dancing with joy in a typical square dance. Kendrie's line in the program? "No more plural marriage". Yeah, that's all I have to say about that.
A thanks to all of the elements that put Utah on the map...even the construction signs.
Kendrie with her good friend Noelle.
Kortlan was in attendance as well. Hi Kort :) He was very proud of his sister. He was making sure everyone around him knew that his sister was up there on stage.
School program or primary program.....one could argue both ways. Only in Utah.

Spring Break

We spent a few days in Pocatello for the kids spring break. Playing tag at the park with the kids.

Bowling at Tough Guy Lanes. Kortlan is in firm belief the the way his body moves is the way his ball will go. He beat all of us though...twice. So maybe there is something to that theory.
Playing at the mall while the creepy supersized Easter Bunny wandered....creepy.
Met up with my old friend Stacie for lunch before we headed back home :)

Elton John concert - April 3

Our drive from Layton to Laramie looked like this until we got past Rock Springs... Then it looked more like this:
We had a great dinner before and then headed over the the UofW for the concert
This was the weather on our way out of Laramie...slow going until we got into Rock Springs at 2:30am. We discovered upon awakening in the morning that the roads were closed both ways out of Rock Springs. So we had a lovely breakfast at the Village Inn and waited for the roads to open. Once past Green River, the roads were perfectly clear and we made it home safe. :)

St. George - March 28th

Get me out of the snow and cold!! :) So we drove down to St. George to see Jayson play ball and catch some sun. First order of business was to meet up with Ryan, Kristen, Kassi, and Jayson at Cold Stone for a delicious late night treat...mmm, Strawberry Blond (thanks for the new addiction, Kassi) :D
Kendrie, Kort, and Carter enjoyed running around the fountain out front and getting their picture taken...
Back at Jay and Kassi's, Kortlan got to "take down" Jayson...or should I say Jayson got to "take down" Kort. Kortlan talked about wrestling Jay all the way down to St. George...
We weren't sure if Kortlan defeated Jay with his brutal strength or if he just wore him down so much, Jay couldn't move anymore :)
Kortlan thinks he needs to get an Xbox now... apparently the PlayStation2 and the Wii just aren't enough for him... The four of them played Sonic and Kassi and Jay got to see new levels they hadn't seen before because Kendrie and Kort unlocked them...lol!
We had to enjoy the sun, so we headed to the driving range. I put in a $20 because that was the only cash I had, and it was out of tokens for the balls...so I took one of the buckets out on the range and picked up a bucket and a half of already hit ones...and then we waited for about 45 minutes until the "owner" showed up and gave me back my $20 :)

Pirate Island Pizza - Jim knows the guy that opened this up, so we went to check it out. Fun atmosphere, the kids loved the arcade (of course), and the pizza was pretty good. Negative side to it, there was 5 birthday parties going on at the same time.....lots of waiting, but fun nonetheless.

Of course a trip to the park was in order :)

Jay's game on the 29th:

Scenery just coming into Cedar City:
Dinner with the Wynn's :) Always a treat!! Miss you guys!
