Colorado

The day we left Island Park, I drove over to Colorado to spend the rest of the week with my sister Kari and her family. I love Colorado! I miss it so much! I took the kids up to Estes Park and just enjoyed the views, the sounds, the shopping, and the lack of oxygen...

Island Park - Hale Family Reunion

4 days after returning home from camping in the Unitas...I unpacked and repacked and headed up to Idaho. There were over 700 pictures taken during the 5 days we were there and I have yet to filter them yet. So....I will post them when I get to them :)

Girl's Camp

After turning a 3 hour drive into a 5 1/2 hour drive with 6 wrongly taken roads and a 3 foot deep mud hole that the poor minivan got stuck in.....we finally arrived at Lake Lyman on the northern side of the Uinta Mountain range. Rain fell everyday and it got down to the mid 40's at night. Couldn't have asked for a pretty place to camp.
Braiding hair is about all I did up there...I lost count of how many heads I braided after 16....

Yeah, the lake had leeches....and the girls loved to catch them.

It started raining again Thursday morning around 11....it didn't stop....our bishopric members decided to put up the stakes and go home that night after evaluating the 3 inches of standing water around our tents and the interiors of the tents that became mud puddles. The tents were leaking...not able to keep out the amount of rain that was landing on them. Everyone was cold and trying so hard to stay dry....and positive. We stayed for the Stake program and then headed out around 11pm.
2:30am found me crawling into my bed...muddy and gross, exhausted, but grateful to be home and warm and dry.
